sometime in mid 2017 i received a mail from a guy in Italy who was just starting a new label, planning it to be dedicated to short pieces of music, on formats like one sided 12"s, lathe cuts, 3" etc. after giving it some thought, i decided to record some material for a 7". after i sent him the files, they were rejected: "I like them but I've got to be honest; I was imagining something a bit more dynamic in terms of what I want to release on my label. When I thought about releasing your stuff I was thinking of something more like your beautiful LP leave / trace." - said the mail. shortly after that he ran into some financial difficulties, and the label didn't continue any further.

since (very sadly) for market reasons the format seems to be pretty much dead, except for one rather halfhearted attempt with another label i didn't pursue the issue any further, and the files remained on my hard drive but never saw a physical release. now i've decided to share them in digital format. since i wanted the 7" to be played at any speed, i'm sharing each track in its original version, and four at the "wrong" speed. and since the listener wasn't supposed to be able to tell which version was the "original" and which sped up/slowed down, i won't disclose that either. although you probably can tell if you listen closely.
